Just as a thought, I was thinking about MM gameplay today. I realized that in every single level someone dies before you can save them. You gain the deku mask from the butler’s son. The goron mask from Darmani and the Zora from Mikau’s corpse. Only when you reach Ikana, the VALLEY OF DEATH, are you able to finally save Pamela’s father, whom is being consumed by death.
Jubilation lifted her rosy cheeks into a gleeful smile. The filly and
boy were the only friends Malon rightfully called her own. The other
children in Castle Town were enjoyable to be with but Link’s company was coveted. Endless days of honest work made her an eager participant in conversation and she positively beamed when he answered her.
“Oh will you?” both hands flew to her mouth as she bent at the knees briefly. His world was so much bigger than hers and she wished to talk. Mister Ingo tended to wave her off and her father usually slept throughout the day. Malon reveled in the knowledge that he’d respond to her when she spoke to him.
“Great, I’ll feed you. We’ve been real well! One of the horses is with foal, she’ll be
havin’ it in springtime,”Malon hoped that he would be there to see it. She reached up to the doorknob and cast a quick glance over her shoulder. “Well you tell me where you’ve been?”
A foal, huh? He followed her close, ears twitching at the sounds of neighing horses and groaning dairy cows. He’d found that Lon Lon Ranch had two VERY distinct smells– the smell of the tilled earth and of animal droppings. The Cuckoos chirped in their usual, loud fashion, and Link kept his DISTANCE from them. He’d come to understand their underestimated and VIOLENT nature. Aye, but they were necessary evils, no?
He jammed his hands in his pockets, looking around for the tall and thin Mr. Ingo. The man was somewhat of a character and Link had gotten to ‘know’ his worst side as an adult. It was strange and somewhat funny, the way power could corrupt the most ignorant of folk. But it seemed that everything worked out in the end after-all.
‘ Where I’ve been? Oh, just around. Nowhere special. ’ LIAR. She’ll figure it out one day. ‘ Most ofthe time you can find me across the river, in Kakoriko. That place is still being built, so they can always use an extra hand. No matter how small. –What’s for lunch? ’
x. “eggs, hm?” what an odd prerequisite he thinks, likewise looking out towards the observatory in the midst of the ocean waves. this would be far simpler with aqua’s assistance, seeing as how this was her element in every way. too bad she was the object of his search.
his feet are still secured in damp sand, arms crossed just beneath his chest while taking in the immediate environment. there was some rundown house & broken down walls .. . didn’t seem like anyone’s come through in a long while. despite the boy’s frustration, the redhead isn’t deterred. words became far more valuable when their breaths clouded the end of a blade — he wasn’t beyond using force when reason wouldn’t withstand.
whatever was necessary, he’d execute with all due haste. “just how many of these eggs are there?” didn’t matter. were they in different locations? if they needed a boat .. . and these gerudo that he’d been briefed. he wasn’t one to be haughty, but not one to be underestimated. & even though he asks, his gaze darts over to an opening just off to his left that leads to a larger inlet. from here, the sounds of rushing water is faint beneath the sound of gently crashing waves.
Right. He’d FORGOTTEN just how few words Richter tended to give out. Link had a feeling he could divulge the meaning of life (not that he knew it) and get back a sentence in return. But there were quiet people in the world and, honestly, Link had been ONE of them. Company made him talk, whether it was a fairy or an actual person. It brought him back to reality and made things, for a little while, BEARABLE.
Straightening out his tunic, he made sure to take in his surroundings once again. The ocean… strange, to think that this was his FIRST time being at a beach. Not the first time to this particular spot, no, but as a whole. Hyrule had no waters like this, and now Link saw it as a dirty, murky watersource filled with nothing but problems and MONSTERS. Just another day at work, he supposed.
‘ Six, I think. –No, seven. I got three a few, uh, days ago. ’ Well, it wasn’t a LIE. The other four were in thatdamnedfortress, under heavy protection of the guards. He knew of only one real way in; there was a loose panel of painted wood at the bottom of the pool to the right. –Ah, but letting things on like that… that would be bad, right? How could he possibly explain a ten year old coming all this way just to hunt pirates? Let alone going that far alone. He followed Richter’s gaze to the left, one brow raising in an inquisitive fashion. Maybe it would be better to let him figure things out for himself. Maybe, around other Zoras, it wouldn’t be so HARD…
‘ There’s supposed to be a settlement THAT WAY. We should probably check it out. Your friend could be there. Zora Cape. ’
I finished my new theme! So consider this a starter call! Don’t worry about mixing verses. I can create one specifically for your character without any issues.
Hair as bright and brilliant as the falling leaves blew in the wind and the rancher’s daughter turned. The child had replaced her kerchief with a shawl of the same color to wrap around her shoulders. “Oh,” airily Malon breathed and her mouth split into a wide smile. “Oh! It’s you!” a cheerful sing-song tone left her lips and she raced over to the boy. Her hands clasped one of his own. “It’s starin’ to get cold, I was hopin’ I’d see you. I was hopin’! Won’tcha come in? I got some warm milk and other things for us t’eat and I’m real, real, real happy to see you again.”
She reminded him of Autumn. Like the way Summer died off and turned all those leaves red and orange and gold. But those were all brittle things, and Link knew her hair to be soft, healthy. With a slight hop he dismounted the sorrel-coloured pony, messy yellow-blond strands glinting against the beastly hue of his eyes. He looked older (Yes, he knew. PAIN did that to aperson. It changed them. It made them ache. It made them BLEED… ) than he had,and perhaps he truly had GROWN. It would be a nice change from the memories he held. Something in between.
❝ Hey, Malon. ❞ He waved her off before turning, finally to see her. He of course could recognize the sound of her voice. She was always singing. Maybe not CONSCIOUSLY, but her voice carried that way.( Didn’t it? He could be wrong. But her ‘talking’ voice was soft and sweet.) At least, to Link it did. She had a very pleasant voice! ❝ Yeah, Milk would actually be great. I’m starving… how’ve things been with your father? ❞
Ah how shameless – the way these m o r t a l s blame the gods. From us alone they say come all their miseries, yes, but they themselves with their own reckless ways compound their PAINS beyond their proper share. Men are so quick to blame the gods: they say that we devise their misery. But they themselves- in their depravity- design grief greater than the griefs that FATE assigns.
Yea, and if some god shall w r e c k m e in the wine-dark deep, even so I will endure… For already have I suffered full much, and much have I toiled in perils of waves and war. Let this be added to the tale of those.
It was GREAT and all, that he could pretend he knew exactly what he was doing at any point in time. But ‘tired’ was becoming an understatement and EXHAUSTED the new reality. Further and further his mood slid, dropping into the empty pits of his stomach. Though it was true he rarely stopped to think of himself. It’d been the same in Hyrule. A two-day climb to the top of Death Mountain hadn’t been filled with rest stops and little picnics on the outcroppings of rock and steel. The green-clad elf, however, was not alone. Neither knew why the other had come so far, not yet anyway, given only the most VAGUE of explanations for their journey.·
Too-blue eyes took in the sight of the sea, knees soaked to the bone from wading in that murky, pirrahna-infested water. He swallowed hard, looking out at the observatory. He’d never been able to get close enough to those eggs. A pirate’s sword was nearly twice his body length, and now– FINALLY, now, he might get that shot. But things would have to be discussed, of course. Maturely. Without any of that… freaking out, business. Right? Yeah. It’d go well. Just think positive.
ah…·Right.
❝ The only way to get to the water temple is to get those eggs. But it’s not like that guy’s going to be any damn help. ❞ said Link, his frustration quite clear. He sighed, the sound grandios and DRAMATIC, rare for him but true to his ire. ❝ I really·don’t want to get close enough to one of those women again to take a photograph. But I don’t see any way around it. ❞
Link is a ten year old Hylian boy cast out into the world. Given a sword and called a savior, he was made to undergo dangerous trials and defeat several gigantic monsters and dragons of all sizes. Orphaned at infancy by his dying mother, Link was raised in the Kokiri Forest and was frequently abused by the child-leader of the Kokiri for being a Hylian.
He was forced to grow up without knowing the consequences of his actions; He chose to heed the Great Deku Tree’s words and bring the Emerald to Zelda at Hyrule Castle. Believing Zelda’s words and trusting her judgement, Link gathered the Ruby and Sapphire from two remaining temples, returning to town just in time to see Zelda retreating on horseback with Ganondorf in pursuit. Obtaining the Ocarina, he was told via telepathy to enter the door of time– but not what was going to happen next.
Upon waking up, Link’s shock is clearly written on his face. He is told to look at his growth, and he stands as a seventeen year old young man, able to wield the power of the master sword. While he is able to return to his age at the end of the game in the Child Era, Link ultimately loses his entire childhood and continues to see this pattern throughout the Zelda series.
Link is always born with the mark of the Goddess Farore on the back of his hand. It is a golden symbol, the Triforce, with the right-hand side lit up. It represents the piece of her existence that she granted to him, a fragment of power that enables him to dismiss fear and enter the realm of reckless indulgence to save the people of Hyrule from any evil or tyrannical being.
He's known to be childish at times and loves all kinds of food-- especially if its free. As a growing and healthy boy, he can often be found chowing down at the Ranch or somewhere in town, well-known by the town's occupants as nothing more than the fiary boy. Princess Zelda and those who matter within the castle, however, are not ignorant to what he had done for them upon saving their world.
Link does have an incredible angry streak, though. If anyone appears condescending, he does his best to put up with it, but he is unable to stand by if one of his friends is insulted or threatened with danger or harm. He's extremely protective of all those he bonds with, which is an incredibly hard thing to do. Almost all of his friends and companions leave about their business and have left Link to his own devices. It is assumed that he dies alone when he becomes the Hero's shade. If you do befriend him, handle with care.
First things first, the Mun is known as Pepsi; please use whatever pronoun you feel with with me. I don't mind it in the least! He/She is fine. Or they. Whichever you feel fits me best.
Shipping: I am a multi-verse blog/multi-ship blog. However, he’s very picky and it most likely won’t happen without years of angsty development. Why? …Well, he doesn’t care! Empathy/Sympathy won’t be found with this muse. However, he greatly admires beauty. What he finds beautiful varies.
I am also extremely selective of OCs and will not roleplay with those made purposely for shipping. i won't roleplay with ocs that are related to canon characters, or 'personified object' ocs. I also expect you to have something for me to read so that I may know about your character. ‘Rp to find out’ does not roll with me.
I do offer MUTUAL EXCLUSIVITY, but this is not a requirement. if you would like me to only interact with the muse you play on your blog, then I will expect the same in return. we must have been threading for at least a week before i will offer this feature.
If I am following you, that means that I want to thread with you. It means I’ve seen something promising on your page and that I do want to interact with you. Please note that I won’t rp with multi-muse blogs or gender-bent muses.
Lastly, if you decide that you feel the need to call me elitist or pretentious for my choices to role-play, i suggest you go and find one of the other thousands of Zelda blogs to meet your needs, as i refuse to respond to any anon hate messages without the use of know-anon, meaning that your url will be shown and i just won't care about the repercussions that brings you. Don't dish it out if you can't take it.
VERSES LIST
Main verse: MAJORAS MASK. Game Setting.
Link, transported by means of mysterious magic to a world, Link embarks on a journey to save the topsy-turvy land of Termina from being crushed by the moon in just three days. To defeat the Skull Kid, Link has to live the same three days over and over again, but not without the help of a few transformative masks. His journey takes him from a poisonous swamp, a snowy mountain, a misty ocean and the valley of death itself.
Link has become Jaded in this world, keeping to himself and always weary of losing new friends. With Tatl floating at his side, Link does his best to rid the world of an extreme evil that not even he understands-- a terrifying mask of possession on the face of a child his own age.
This blog will allow plotting for the popular theory that child link is, in fact, dead. Termina is just a figment of purgatory while Link comes to terms with the five stages of grief. This means that any interaction outside of the Zelda fandom will have Link as a corporeal spirit, unaware of the truth.
[ THE BOUNTY HUNTER ] Post-Majora's Mask
Rather than going on at the end of Majoras Mask, Link stays in the lands of Termina and becomes a teen bounty hunter. Accompanied by no one down the roads that lead him any and everywhere, he carries with him the faceless masks of those who've passed on and is always cautious of strangers.
[ Main 2 ] Ocarina of Time ( all timelines )
In the vast, deep forest of Hyrule, the Great Deku Tree served as the guardian spirit. The children of the forest, the Kokiri, lived with the Great Deku Tree. Each Kokiri had his or her own guardian fairy, except one. His name was Link.
Upon gaining access to the Temple of Time and the Master Sword, Link travels seven years into the future. You learn that the time travel happens because, although Link is the chosen one to remove the Master Sword from its stone sealed sheath, you must be of a certain age to wield it. Therefore Link is trapped in a sort of “hibernation” until he is old enough to fulfil his destiny. When Link awakens he finds that in his absence, Ganondorf has used the Triforce of Power to take control of Hyrule and turn it into a post apocalyptic world.
[ SM4SH VERSE. Melee. YOUNG LINK. ]
Chosen to fight amongst the best champions, the competition gets rough when Link faces off against familiar rivals and strong foes he's never met before. This universe is used for a friendlier atmosphere for other view game characters. The tournament starts soon-- is your muse in?
