Winhill’s self proclaimed Monster Hunterjust finished up his first phase of patrol, a task which consisted of walking to the edge of town. dealing with any monsters he came across and helping anyone in need. It wasn’t the most exciting job in the world, but it was one that he’d come to love. Today’s patrol had been an unusually quiet one. Perhaps the heat was keeping the Caterchipillars out in the flower fields where they could find shade beneath the leafy trees. It didn’t sound too bad of an idea after a long day spent running around beneath the blazing sunshine.
With a great big bear yawn, Laguna stretched his arms out wide and wiped the sweat from his brow. “Man, I’m beat!” Machine gun slung over his shoulder, he was just about to head back home and get some hard earned dinner when the back of his shirt was grabbed and tugged on, halting him in his tracks. “Hm?” He glanced over his shoulder at the blond male behind him, but he didn’t get a look at him until he turned to face him.
“Oh! Hi ther—” Laguna’s eyes widened instantly, unable to look away from the large, pointed ears that stuck out from the boy’s golden blond locks. A confused “Uhhh..” escaped parted lips that hung open as he glanced over Link’s gaudy green garb, the boots, the sword and shield he wore on his back. Clearly, this kid was some kind of foreigner from a faraway place. The old folks in town would probably make a lot of noise about him. Xenophobes. They hated outsiders. Anyone unfamiliar was unwanted. Laguna knew all too well how it felt to be treated this way, having dealt with it himself for the past couple of years. So he took it upon himself to give the weird looking stranger a smile and treat him with only the utmost kindness. "Hiya! Can I help you? Y'look a little lost..“
Following the man’s eyes from their line of sight, Link was unsurprised to find them focused on the length of his EARS. The odd slant of his large, naturally-winged eyes were of note to most as well, or perhaps the golden colour his hair shown in the sunlight. You had to have a THICK SKIN to live out in the wilds, going through everything Link had had taught him a valuable lesson. Patient as ever, he waited to be fully acknowledged, shifting back on his heels before finally being TREATED to a smile. Perhaps this one wouldn’t look at him as though he were dirt.
❝ Not lost, just confused. I’ve not come across a map salesman all this time. I am meaning to be going North until I come across Hyrule, this is the way, is it not? I was so certain… ❞
Those long ears gave a TWITCH, leaning forward just the slightest to listen to what this man had to say. They were meant to hear the voices of their GODS and be guided by the spirits around them, but this land had nothing to listen to… naught but the hushed whispers of human voices that attempted to hide from him their i n s u l t s.
Link is a ten year old Hylian boy cast out into the world. Given a sword and called a savior, he was made to undergo dangerous trials and defeat several gigantic monsters and dragons of all sizes. Orphaned at infancy by his dying mother, Link was raised in the Kokiri Forest and was frequently abused by the child-leader of the Kokiri for being a Hylian.
He was forced to grow up without knowing the consequences of his actions; He chose to heed the Great Deku Tree’s words and bring the Emerald to Zelda at Hyrule Castle. Believing Zelda’s words and trusting her judgement, Link gathered the Ruby and Sapphire from two remaining temples, returning to town just in time to see Zelda retreating on horseback with Ganondorf in pursuit. Obtaining the Ocarina, he was told via telepathy to enter the door of time– but not what was going to happen next.
Upon waking up, Link’s shock is clearly written on his face. He is told to look at his growth, and he stands as a seventeen year old young man, able to wield the power of the master sword. While he is able to return to his age at the end of the game in the Child Era, Link ultimately loses his entire childhood and continues to see this pattern throughout the Zelda series.
Link is always born with the mark of the Goddess Farore on the back of his hand. It is a golden symbol, the Triforce, with the right-hand side lit up. It represents the piece of her existence that she granted to him, a fragment of power that enables him to dismiss fear and enter the realm of reckless indulgence to save the people of Hyrule from any evil or tyrannical being.
He's known to be childish at times and loves all kinds of food-- especially if its free. As a growing and healthy boy, he can often be found chowing down at the Ranch or somewhere in town, well-known by the town's occupants as nothing more than the fiary boy. Princess Zelda and those who matter within the castle, however, are not ignorant to what he had done for them upon saving their world.
Link does have an incredible angry streak, though. If anyone appears condescending, he does his best to put up with it, but he is unable to stand by if one of his friends is insulted or threatened with danger or harm. He's extremely protective of all those he bonds with, which is an incredibly hard thing to do. Almost all of his friends and companions leave about their business and have left Link to his own devices. It is assumed that he dies alone when he becomes the Hero's shade. If you do befriend him, handle with care.
First things first, the Mun is known as Pepsi; please use whatever pronoun you feel with with me. I don't mind it in the least! He/She is fine. Or they. Whichever you feel fits me best.
Shipping: I am a multi-verse blog/multi-ship blog. However, he’s very picky and it most likely won’t happen without years of angsty development. Why? …Well, he doesn’t care! Empathy/Sympathy won’t be found with this muse. However, he greatly admires beauty. What he finds beautiful varies.
I am also extremely selective of OCs and will not roleplay with those made purposely for shipping. i won't roleplay with ocs that are related to canon characters, or 'personified object' ocs. I also expect you to have something for me to read so that I may know about your character. ‘Rp to find out’ does not roll with me.
I do offer MUTUAL EXCLUSIVITY, but this is not a requirement. if you would like me to only interact with the muse you play on your blog, then I will expect the same in return. we must have been threading for at least a week before i will offer this feature.
If I am following you, that means that I want to thread with you. It means I’ve seen something promising on your page and that I do want to interact with you. Please note that I won’t rp with multi-muse blogs or gender-bent muses.
Lastly, if you decide that you feel the need to call me elitist or pretentious for my choices to role-play, i suggest you go and find one of the other thousands of Zelda blogs to meet your needs, as i refuse to respond to any anon hate messages without the use of know-anon, meaning that your url will be shown and i just won't care about the repercussions that brings you. Don't dish it out if you can't take it.
VERSES LIST
Main verse: MAJORAS MASK. Game Setting.
Link, transported by means of mysterious magic to a world, Link embarks on a journey to save the topsy-turvy land of Termina from being crushed by the moon in just three days. To defeat the Skull Kid, Link has to live the same three days over and over again, but not without the help of a few transformative masks. His journey takes him from a poisonous swamp, a snowy mountain, a misty ocean and the valley of death itself.
Link has become Jaded in this world, keeping to himself and always weary of losing new friends. With Tatl floating at his side, Link does his best to rid the world of an extreme evil that not even he understands-- a terrifying mask of possession on the face of a child his own age.
This blog will allow plotting for the popular theory that child link is, in fact, dead. Termina is just a figment of purgatory while Link comes to terms with the five stages of grief. This means that any interaction outside of the Zelda fandom will have Link as a corporeal spirit, unaware of the truth.
[ THE BOUNTY HUNTER ] Post-Majora's Mask
Rather than going on at the end of Majoras Mask, Link stays in the lands of Termina and becomes a teen bounty hunter. Accompanied by no one down the roads that lead him any and everywhere, he carries with him the faceless masks of those who've passed on and is always cautious of strangers.
[ Main 2 ] Ocarina of Time ( all timelines )
In the vast, deep forest of Hyrule, the Great Deku Tree served as the guardian spirit. The children of the forest, the Kokiri, lived with the Great Deku Tree. Each Kokiri had his or her own guardian fairy, except one. His name was Link.
Upon gaining access to the Temple of Time and the Master Sword, Link travels seven years into the future. You learn that the time travel happens because, although Link is the chosen one to remove the Master Sword from its stone sealed sheath, you must be of a certain age to wield it. Therefore Link is trapped in a sort of “hibernation” until he is old enough to fulfil his destiny. When Link awakens he finds that in his absence, Ganondorf has used the Triforce of Power to take control of Hyrule and turn it into a post apocalyptic world.
[ SM4SH VERSE. Melee. YOUNG LINK. ]
Chosen to fight amongst the best champions, the competition gets rough when Link faces off against familiar rivals and strong foes he's never met before. This universe is used for a friendlier atmosphere for other view game characters. The tournament starts soon-- is your muse in?
